2nd Annual Super Cooper Dash 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run
Benefiting the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation
We are so excited to announce the 2nd Annual Super Cooper Dash! This race is in memory of Cooper Hodges, son of Johnathon and Lauren Hodges and little brother to Paden. Cooper was only 4 years old when he was diagnosed with a spinal cord tumor last February. This tumor quickly left Cooper paralyzed from the waist down and with a tracheostomy, but Cooper never let his medical condition get him down! To the doctors and nurses at Children's Hospital in Birmingham Cooper quickly became known as "Super Cooper" because of his joyful spirit, his will to fight, and his unwavering bravery and strength. In June of last year Cooper's family received the news that his tumor had spread to his brain and Cooper went to his forever home in Heaven on June 11th 2017. Join us as we honor Cooper and all the other Superheros who fight brain and spinal cord tumors each and everyday! #askmeaboutsupercooper
The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit solely dedicated to the pediatric brain tumor community. By investing in family support programs and more than $29 million in research over the past three decades, we serve the 28,000+ children and teens in the United States who are living with the diagnosis of a brain tumor.
